Which Song Would YOU Love Pia To Cover?

After seeing Pia do one of the best covers on American Idol, of "I'll Stand By You," receiving a standing ovation by the judges, we want to know.

Out of all the great songs out there, past and present, which song would YOU love Pia to cover?

I would LOVE to see Pia cover "Something's Got a Hold On Me" originally by one of her favorites, Etta James, and most recently covered by Christina Aguilera in Burlesque.

I would like to hear Pia cover..."Come On A My House." I think it was recorded orginally, by Rosemary Clooney. I have NO idea, what this video is about! I was just trying to find Bette Midler's version of this song!

There are so  many Josh Groban songs that Pia would do a phenomenal job covering! I still want to hear her and Josh do a duet of "The Prayer".

Janet, You are so right! Nothing against Richie Santa. He and Pia do a fine job, Singing "The Prayer." But if Pia records it with Josh Groban or Andrea Bocceli. That would be unbelievably good!

If Pia covered a Demi song....I think she might overshadow her! lol Pia has a much richer and fuller voice than Demi does :-)

Great choice Chris.

I also would love to hear Pia's voice on "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. It has such a great message and potential to be a classic Pia power ballad!

"Unchained Melody" for me.  What Constantine did to it on the night of Pia's elimination was unforgivable.. If Pia were to sing it she would bring her passion, vocal depth and inimitable style to the performance.  She'd respect the melody while making it her own.  This is one song big enough to let Pia fly!

Pia's original music has all the drama and power found in "Unchained Melody".  Her "I Will" with its big production supporting a melody with huge vocal range, and "Precious Little Life" ending in a magnificent cathartic finish are two examples.

I have been giving this catagory much thought. My thinking is not only what Pia can cover in concert, but what songs might be successful in future recordings. If that were the case then some older tunes will allow Pia to better "make it her own". I have been hoping to learn how to post up some videos to provide some of these examples. ***I assume since I currently can't post pictures I will not be able to post videos. For those unfamiliar with these songs there's always YouTube. In no particular order:

"Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" (you think?)

Just about anything by Dusty Springfield. Particularly "Wishin' and Hopin'" or "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me"

Mama Cass Elliot: "Dream a Little Dream" or "Words of Love" In fact if Pia and Jered enlisted a couple of additional singers they could cover any Mamas and the Papas songs.

Diana Ross: "Touch Me in the Morning" Pia can kill this one I'm sure.

Early Linda Ronstadt: "Long, Long Time" or "Different Drum" or "Desperado" (by way of "The Eagles")

More to come..............GO PIA!!!

EDIT: *** This being due to computer problem(s)
